help please?

hi all,
after much problemo actually getting dx9.0c to work, i can finally see all the graphics on the start window properly.....
but i can't see any text! I worked out the login box, and then it took me to other stuff where i had to check out the races and clearly start to build my character, but again, no text anywhere
i can see all the graphics fine, and everything seems to be working fine, but there's no words or letters or anything anywhere, plenty of boxes, but no words...

any ideas anyone?
would greatly appreciate some advice, cheers

Make sure you got your latest graphics drivers for starters.

That, and you should also look at the Eve Online technical support forums as this isn't really the place to get Eve Online help.

Try looking at http://myeve.eve-online.com/iNgameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=456123 as it may be the same problem you're having or at least point you in the right direction.

But on the other note, Do what Blade said. Update your drivers and whatnot.

I used to have that problem on my HP laptop but fixed it after I installed some more ram. Do a quick check of your system info ana make sure everything is compatable with EVE version you downloaded. you can go to START>RUN> Typin in "dxdiag" and hit enter. If you get a yes/no press yes. the window that comes up will tell you pretty much everything about your computer, including video hardware and drivers.

It just sounds like a video card thing. If you cant get it working and its a PC, I would just get 40$ and go buy another cheap card that works with eve. Prolly the easiest way to go.

atreiou you got this fixed yet? I had the same problem on my laptop, I ended up downloading all the drivers for my videocard and testing one by one. Last ditch attempt, but it worked :D
