Hey guys, for those who are aware (and I guess for those who are not) I run a talk show Tuesdays and Thursdays here on ER.

With the Wingman leaving, and me still in search of new talent to take his chair, I'm going through a bit of a format change to the show.

I'm in the process of working out ideas for a few show specials, but I'd also like some feedback from you guys, the listeners, as to what topics in eve are most important to you? what sort of coverage would you like to hear about? Are there any aspects of gameplay that have struck you as vague or evaded you completely that you could benefit on special coverage on (right now I'm working on a special for probing both for exploration and to hunt down players).

Outside of eve, would you like us to make more fun of Paris Hilton and the American media circus, or perhaps cover more serious topics such as when we covered the Don Imus story?

Maybe I could do an Oprah style show where we find some poor schmuck who has lost everything in eve and hook him up with a fully kitted osprey or something :P

Anything goes, I'm totally open to suggestions.

What say you?

Please, please ... no Paris Hilton. Who is Don Imus?

Anyways ... it would be great if you had a podcast. I only get to listen to bits and pieces while I am cooking dinner and invariably end up missing most of the show.

Some suggestions ...

I have enjoyed some of the interviews they have had on eve-nn. It was mostly pirates type though. So, interviews can be good.

Some peeps I would not mind hearing from/more about:

- Innominate Nightmare (his blog is great)
- Chribba (runs eve-files)
- Stavros (not sure I spelled that right ... he was the guy on the couch during the last tournament)
- Ginger Magician (his smack talk is impressive and foul ... could be an interesting show ... and how the hell does he have so much time to play eve?)
- Past eve-radio legends (Stora)
- Major alliance reps
- some eve addicts poor wife
- guy who developed evemon
- guy who developed eve quickfit
- Pottsey (passive shield tank guy)
- some role-players (assuming there are any left)

Some things that might be found interesting:

- The general news happenings in eve (podded used to do this and suspect it is a lot of work.)
- Macros(how to spot them, ganking for fun, sport and profit, etc)
- Cosmos info: locations, missions, etc
- POS info: hi-sec low-sec, do's and dont's
- pirating 101: how to start, what to do, etc. (not that we don't have enough pirates now)
- noob show: things noobs can do to have fun

I used to listen regularly to eve-nn when they were doing their thing, it was generally pretty good, though a few shows were real dogs.

Have run out of steam and dishes need doing ...

Good Luck

- interview someone older and younger who plays: why? what do they do?
- might be funny to interview someone re gaming addiction. That could be scary though ...
- interview some large cap ship pilots: you can't dock the things so what the hell do they do while they play? I suspect they sit around and listen to John Denver waiting for something to happen.
- info re invention: they joys and frustrations

I have always enjoyed 'books on tape', probably due to the amount of driving I used to do. If you could carve some of those up into manageable chunks, that might be good.

Dishes are done, am off to play eve :)

Wow Towtruck... I don't think you made a single suggestion I didn't think was great. Thanks!

Don Imus (google for better details) was an american shock jock who lost his job as a controversial radio DJ for saying some female basketball players from Rutgers during the NCAA championship "Nappy Headed Hos". We did a 3 hour special on the situation (it was HUGE news here in the US) played the whole sound byte in context which no news outlet would do, and showed that it was his co-host that brought it up in the first place, and when taken in the context of what was being talked about at the time, the comment wasn't all that racially charged.

Basically, the show was a commentary on sensationalized media making situations far bigger than they actually are or need to be just because nothing else overly exciting is happening at the time. We didn't say he shouldn't have had some consequences for what he said, just that the reactions were a little over the top, and a lot of the people who seemed offended never even bothered to check all the facts and went on a 1 line quote, which, when taken out of context, sounded far worse than it was.

Ah. ok. I have heard that story, just don't think they mentioned the name.

Have been listening to ABC Newsradio (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) lately which has a lot of BBC newsradio ... perfect for the news junkie like me, but they have a world focus as opposed to a North American one. I have not found a good 'local' streaming newsradio station up here in the land of poutine, maple syrup and baby seals.

On the subject of News, I never hear any on Eve Radio. I mean you have it on the site but really only big Corps or Alliances' get it. What about people EVEMailing you their "Big" News and you deciding what you think is good and what is rubbish and discuss it?

Just a suggestion
