In September of 2005 we held a little shindig at a nice venue in Pontefract. It attracted about 120 people overall, including ER DJ's, listeners and CCP Devs.
That party was broadcast live on Eve Radio all evening as well as to those assembled.
Funnily enough, Reaper was there too. He has his snazzy digital video camera and loads of spare tape.
A few weeks later, Reaper delivered a couple of content heavy DVD's to my doorstep with the intention of turning the several hours of raw footage into somthing we could use on our new on demand video streaming project.
It all started off ok with a preview video made and uploaded within a few days of getting hold of the footage. Sadly, other things got in the way and the full project was delayed. Then the DVD's were lost. Then it was christmas, then another christmas, then easter.
Long story short, for 18 months the DVD copies were missing and the originals had been lost to traitorous turncoat types that we prefer only to refer to as "The Funk That Crawled Out My Ass Yet Lived!
Anyway, good news!
I happened to locate the copies very recently and decided, on a whim, to get on and produce the video I really should have done 18 months or more ago.
So, for the last 24 hours I have been editing non stop and have finally gotten myself in a position to produce the first of three 30 - 40 minute long party episodes. The first of which you can download from here (http://www.eve-radio.com/download/erpartypt1.wmv).
This file is mostly for those of you that went to the party and are interested to see it from the cameras perspective and for those who are just curious as to what 120 Eve Geeks can get upto where beer flows free and girls are forced to tongue eachother for baying mens ammusment.
Part 1 is 290mb in size and runs for just a bit over 33 minutes.
As the mass of editing is complete, it wont take long to compile the lot into two seperate additional episodes I will punblish over the course of the next week. I will also, probably nearer christmas, make available a DVD quality version with added bells n whistles (including abusive commentary from myself and Diaego).
