If you had an account before, you should be able to fire up the game and log in for a free 14 days. They changed a few things, game is better than it was, unfortunately it doesn't seem like a ton of people stuck around to wait for the changes, at least on Rackham. Blackbeard seems better, and the EU server is doing well it seems if you're British.

there are still major problems with end game, there was and is still very little to do at the end, you can only make money the same way so many times before making more sails and shot gets dull...

yes ok port battles are fun, but even on roberts (one of the 'EU' server's), there was a BIG gap btw factions... its a little unfair when one can unrest 4 ports in like 20 mins the others have little chance to def them back even with the 46 hour waits, that's without even mentioning the Pirate Hercules/1st rank issues.

when they finally add something to do back in the end, more naval ships (sounds like Amarr much?) or other hard hitters, and something to do with them, might be worth while to reactivate then :)
