5th Alliance tournament - discuss!

So, its coming again peoples, the 5th tournament held for eve online, it will be brought live by eve tv again and this time they ware wanting role players to be involved, stemming from Star Fractions thorax annihilation of the Bob gang. Not to mention my mains alliance getting through to the final 16 :D

So, what would you like to talk about in this topic, what top should Stavros wear? What ship types should and shouldn't be allowed, should the arena be bigger? What about the reward for winning, i personally felt the last prize was somewhat lacking. Should there be someone in charge of the panel, a new host perhaps? More special guests?

The onus is on you now, come and have your say, you never know, we get a good thread going here we might have to go to the show and ask some important questions :P

Typing with lag is really starting to annoy me, post edited. :P Also, some teams just enter for the fun and the experience of participating in such an event. And Funky only seems to esplode thanks to Vana and or taking his contestants into unsecure space.

Funnily enough - there is something about it being an ALLIANCE...

Unless we do something bizarre like make up 3 new nubcorps ([TGR], [BiR] and [GRN]) and build an alliance for the duration ;)

But hey - I think we could do it =) It all depends on whether or not we're willing to sacrifice our mains for the good of Eve Radio :D

Saying that - Personally I think it'd be better if it was a GRN event, rather than Eve-Radio going solo.

Main reasoning for this is.... I'm not on the ER schedule, but I play Eve =)

We could either
a. slide our mains over to a GRN corp, fight in the alliance tourny, and then slide 'em back.
or
b. go for the comedy angle and everyone fly in their current DJ alt character, no matter how little SP they have...

BoB's massive fleet of tanked Battleships/BattleCruisers.... Billions of Iskies in assets....

fights...

T1 frigs and cruisers...

Could even take side-bets in iskies on how long it takes them to wipe the floor with us =)

Theres taking risks and theres getting ganked over n over n over. I've never known someone to get ganked by entire squads as often as you did. You must have gone through 30 Domis ... :eek:

Actually I was too busy being stalked and smack talked by that 105 ship BS fleet that stopped by Lamaa to gank my carrier.

Never seen a node crash caused by an empire space conflict before.

DJ Quip can fly a domi and as I recall can use t2 drones :-)... but has little money outside of stuff already set aside for competitions etc. ....haven't really looked at the rules but obviously cruisers are possibilities too :-) --- And no I am no longer training DJ Quip... really shouldn't have in the first place come to think of it...

Well next tourny if the corp im in is not in an alliance by then if you need a few extra pilots (and a few good tactitions to boot) we would likely be more than happy to help you out. (Tho next tourny we might just form an alliance for the event)

As for this tourny i expect to PL going far again and possibly winning this time i certainly dont see hun remaining champions. I also feel T2 BS should cost more points than faction having seen what they can do on sisi (golem tanking 4 faction BS with faction fittings for 20minutes with T2 setup).
