I just wanted to point out to you EveRadio folks, listener and broadcaster alike, that your genre of radio is in extreme danger. If everyone would take a quick look at http://www.savenetradio.org/index.html to see what's going on, the internet radio community in general would be extremely grateful.
The website explains it better than I can, but in a nutshell, the Copyright Royalty Board in Washington, DC is fixing to enact a royalty rate change for internet radio which more than triples the cost to operate, and on top of that, it's retroactive to January 1st of last year. What this means is that the second that the royalty rate changes take effect, many honest broadcasters will be instantly bankrupted because of having to pay over a year's dues up front, all at once.
Obviously, this is a bad thing.
Show some support, and see what you can do.
No, I'm not an advertisement bot; I'm just an EVE player who thought that this would be a good place to share about this problem.
Thanks, y'all. :D
