This is getting to be a bad habit now.

Once again, things beyond our immediate control have forced a delay in the launch of TGR. However, this time round we are very close on having a fully working, ready to deliver package, unlike previous expected launch dates which were a bit optermistic when we originally thrashed them out.

Most of the reasons for the delay are technical ones but we also have a few key members of staff which will be flying the GRN flag at various events over the next couple of weeks, raising awareness and binge drinking in preperation for the full launch.

On the plus side, I can announce that the following DJ's are already on the schedule for prime time talk slots and are raring to go, starting with Jack-Pott and Caff kicking off the official launch of TGR's live DJ service on monday the 19th November.

Joining them in the prime slots on tuesday through thursday are Funkybacon, MrBlades and Shminty, with prime slot assignments for Loza, Lorcian and Jade and one other still being decided.

In addition, we've already slotted DJ Gungy into a wednesday night cool down slot and have a host of other top GRN mix DJ's ready to put their names to slots in the coming two weeks.

With regards to warm up and mid schedule slots, we're still considering applications from those within our existing team and those we've recieved from outside.

They will eventually get filled, but for the launch we are concentrating on the prime and cooldown slots as these will likely be our busiest periods.

For the rest of that time, full requestable automation will be available until they are fully filled and the schedule looks more like that of Eve-Radio ... except with less DJ Sarge covers.

All in all things are shaping up nicely and we hope to have the full website finished and presented to the public a good week before the launch.

Fingers crossed, eh?

Nothing at all. He's our flesh and blood automation system.

Careful quip, or I might have to take a show on TGR......

Are these to be music oriented? talk oriented? How is this being handled?

Just some curiosities I would like to play out in my head.

Primes are talk, which as we know is a good 50/50 split.

Warmup is 25% talk, 75% music. Cooldowns are mostly music with a little bit of talk as deemed neccesary.

Might i suggest Platform Orientated shows, with shows talking about one particular gaming area. Ie, XboX/360, PS2/3, PC, Gamecube, Wii, PSP, DS/Lite, Etc etc....

It may help break up news/reviews and recent interviews.

Listening to the numerous dj's talking about the same infiormation could be to put it bluntly "Boring"!

that way we can get an even spread of listeners through the day who would be interested into tuneing into a particular DJ, if thats what they would like.

It's been designed that way from the start.

Drop me a mail with a slot youd prefer and what of that 25% talk content would entail and I'll do some crunching.

If anyone needs an "in-studio" guest or someone for a round table, I would be happy to volunteer. I have spent the past decade working with people in and around the video game biz, and can provide a lot of insight.

My show specifically has a round table element to it which will work with two or three perm members and floating guests. So yeah, I'm sure you'll get called upon if you're still interested after launch.

Any chance I have to talk about the video gaming universe I am always interested in.

Here is some news, BTW:

LucasArts and Bioware announced a partnership on a "groundbreaking new video game enterprise". This is fueling the rumors of a "Knights of the Old Republic" era MMORPG.

MrBlades

Yeah, I've heard that one. Hope it's true, KOTOR MMO has massive potential.

Blades, in retrospective of Dev Interviews, will this bring us to develop On-demand streaming for TGR, so that Video interviews can be arranged. i'm just thinking about the huge gap in our listener/viewing base if we don't consider it.

Especially if we want to incorporate footage of games/products in development/or at least a demo while the the interviewee is talking about said product...

Video podcasting is something I wanna do with TGR, so yes, that will begin to happen shortly after launch.
